Please join the Hertel Business Association as we host the first annual Hertel Summer Series. This event series is only possible with the participation and enthusiasm from the incredible Hertel businesses and our bustling community.
From May until September will be hosting a new monthly themed night along Hertel Avenue. A summer series for the community to discover a fun new way to eat, shop & play. The goal is for themed nights with live music to shine focus on the different types of businesses along the stretch of Hertel. Offering a unique way for the community to invest back into the local scene of the classic, established, historical businesses of Hertel and to welcome the new faces to our business district.
Business Participation Requested :
This series is being created to show our community ALL of the things Hertel has to offer. To ignite the excitement with summer evenings of music, eating and shopping along the Avenue. This will only work if our business district joins together with participation from businesses from Delaware to Main Street! We are asking for businesses to stay open in later evening hours until 9pm during the monthly event from May going through September. This is your opportunity to have fun with your regulars and mingle with new customers in exciting and cool ways. There are no costs associated with participating as a Hertel Ave business! Open your doors and show attendees what our community is all about.
If you would like to donate monitarily to help us bring the event to life, please consider becoming a sponsor of the Hertel Summer Series. We believe that this series will show all of our customers that when we join together, the business district is strong. Sponsorship levels are listed below but anything is welcome. The Hertel Business Association’s Summer Series will spread the word and promote your business if you choose to participate OR sponsor.
Sponsorship Options : If your business is unable to participate or you’d like sponsorship opportunities, we are offering a couple unique way for the community to invest back into our Hertel business district. Sponsorship allows us the opportunity to make the event bigger and better. Any sponorship amount is appreciated!
$5,000 - Sponsor of 3 bands situated along the Ave for all 5 Summer Series nights
$2,500 - Sponsor of 3 bands situated along the Ave for 2 Summer Series nights
$1,000 - Sponsor 3 bands situated along the Avenue for 1 Summer Series night
$500 - Promotional themed event swag for Summer Series
$250 - Printing of promotional event flyers
$125 - Towards HBA Summer Series Event Fund
DEADLINE April 20th • $1,000 and up sponsors will have sponsor listed on flyer. All other donations will have mention on social media unless preferred to stay anonymous.

May 26th - Light Up the Ave Glow Stick Night
Sport your brightest clothes, lights, glow sticks, glow in the dark swag to light up the Avenue while the community shops and explores.
Ideas for participation from Hertel Businesses: Business can offer drinks with lights, hand out glow sticks, food specials, neon light bulbs, sales and more. It is Cinco de Mayo so offering taco and margarita specials would be perfect for an evening of fun.
June 30th- Good Vibes Mind & Body Wellness Night
Join us for a night geared toward mind, body and soul - with a focus on overall wellness. This evening will highlight spas, gyms, yoga studios, salons and all health related business on Hertel.
Ideas for participation from Hertel Businesses: We will be hosting different classes on the lawn at the church, salons can offer tours of their business, coupons for discounts for future appointments, healthy drinks and snacks can be offered. Shops can promote athletic apparel etc. We are hoping to schedule mostly acoustic music to keep the night calm and relaxing.
July 28th - Family Block Party Kids Fun & Sweet Treats
Come have fun on a special family night focused on kids and kids at heart. With games on the lawn, ice cream and sweet shops open late, toy stores and all kid based businesses to be highlighted.
Ideas for participation from Hertel Businesses: Consider putting children focused items on sale - shops can hand out bubbles, play dough, chalk and candy, or set up a table for a kids craft or face painting. Drink specials for the parents!
August 25th - Music & Murals Explore Hertel’s Arts
Discover the amazing art as you stroll Hertel - the murals and home grown galleries are spotlit for this evening. Bands located near murals up and down. Live art.
Ideas for participation from Hertel Businesses: Shops can focus on their most amazing works of art - be creative with your storefronts, hand out “artistic" treats, offer a spot to draw or paint something quick and fun, create a scavenger hunt with a discount if you find everything. Tattoo shops could pull a table to the front and sell prints or run a flash event, the galleries could pull artwork on the side walk etc.
September 30th - Hertel Summer Series X Hertel Fall Fest - Flannel & Football Fall Season Kickoff
Wear your best flannel or shop for some new flannel at the stores on Hertel while we pre-game opening day of the Bills season.
Ideas for participation from Hertel Businesses: This is a perfect time to offer beer and wing specials, sales on Buffalo themed items, Bill's photo-ops can be set up in front of your shop, showcase new fall flannel inventory, run an Instagram contest.
